Curly Hair

When taking care of wavy hair it is essential to choose your products carefully. Wavy and curly hair tends to be dry and more susceptible to damage.

Hydrate - Opt for products that hydrate your hair without weighing it down. Look for sulfate-free products to avoid too much break down of your hairs natural oils.

Deep conditioning - Incorporate a weekly deep conditioning into your routine, this will help keep your hair nourished and healthy

Detangle Gently - Use a wide tooth comb or detangling brush, starting at the ends and making your way up. Avoid over brushing your hair as it will add to breakage and frizziness.

Leave in conditioner - Use a leave in conditioner to provide additional hydration and frizz control. Apply evenly through damp hair.

Styling - Use curl enhancing products such as curl cream, gel or mousses to help enhance your hair's natural shape. Apply products to damp hair and scrunch in to support the curl formation.

Heat styling - Make sure your protecting your hair during heat styling. To maintain your curl use a diffuser, layer on your styling products before drying and avoid brushing

Scalp care - Thick hair increases the likelihood of experiencing scalp issues. Make sure you includes a scalp cleanse to remove product build up and improve blood circulation. 

Refresh with water - Keep a water spray containing a mix of water and leave in conditioner handy. This is a perfect way to refresh.
